Do you own an older version of an english dictionary? And can you help me look up a word?
senneb asked:
I’m wondering if older versions of english dictionaries define the word “power language” or “language of power” (how ever you can put it).
I know that Oxford online doesn’t have any results, and I’m pretty sure a newer (book) version doesn’t define it either, so I need to know if dictionaries older than 1990 have a definition. It can be any older version, even if you have an ancient dictionary I will be interested to hear if it defines the word.
So it’s not so much the definition of the word I’m looking for, merely if it’s defined at all.. Hope you can help! Thanks!

None of my dictionaries (Concise Oxfords, current and 1990, Webster’s 1980, RD Great Encyclopaedic 1964, have any definition for “power language” or “language of power”.
