Do you own an older version of an english dictionary? And can you help me look up a word?
senneb asked:
I’m wondering if older versions of english dictionaries define the word “power language” or “language of power” (how ever you can put it).
I know that Oxford online doesn’t have any results, and I’m pretty sure a newer (book) version doesn’t define it either, so I need to know if dictionaries older than 1990 have a definition. It can be any older version, even if you have an ancient dictionary I will be interested to hear if it defines the word.
It’s also interesting for me to know whether it’s an english dictionary from UK, Australia, the US, Canada etc. so write down which country you’re from too. Thanks! :o)
And if you have a dic. that defines the word, please let me know which year it’s from and who publihed it.. :o)

How about dictatorial language or imperious language.
Kind regards
